October is Domestic Violence (DV) Awareness Month. To help address the impact IPV has on Veterans, family members, and VA staff the IPVAP recommends and promotes the importance of reviewing intimate partner relationships for health and safety. We encourage Veterans, their Partners, and VA staff to Check Up, Check In and Check Out IPVAP Coordinator resources and services.
The National IPVAP also supports the White Ribbon-VA Campaign
White Ribbon VA is a national call to action that aims to eliminate sexual harassment, sexual assault, and domestic violence in VA health care settings and communities. White Ribbon VA is a genderless awareness movement where ALL can participate by taking a pledge to never commit, excuse, or stay silent about harassment or violence. Please visit https://www.va.gov/health/harassment-free/ to learn more.
